If you want to get some extra exposure to the housing market, or even some initial exposure, you don’t necessarily have to buy a flat or house. You could invest in a small number of residential property funds or platforms. And a new trust is being launched in this space – called the Walls & Futures REIT (‘reit’ is an abbreviation of Real Estate Investment Trust).
The trust is raising £2 million to invest in the sector, and it will trade on the ISDX junior stock market. Share Radio’s Ed Bowsher was joined by Joe McTaggart, Chief Executive of Walls and Future Real Estate Investment Trust.
